Medicall Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Deputy Home Manager to work for a fantastic Nursing service in the Bradford area. Our client is looking for an experienced Nurse who has proven experience as a deputy or a strong background as a senior/lead Nurse who is looking to take the next professional step. Our client is well known in Bradford for providing a high standard of Nursing and Residential Care for adults and elderly residents within their service. 

We are looking for a Nurse Deputy (RGN, RMN or RNLD) to join this service on a Full Time, Permanent basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are up to date

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and the service is complaint with local authority nd CQC guidelines 

  • Undertaking administrative duties such as staff records, governance, and residents' records

  • Managing the home in the absence of the Home Manager

  • Lead by example by providing first rate nursing care 

  • Act as resource person for named key workers

  • Supervise and actively assist in all aspects of resident’s care

  • Oversee individual care for each resident by the thorough assessment of needs and planning of care with the participation of the key worker, resident and relative or their representative

  • Maintain accurate care plans and safeguarding, medication, DoLs and infection control records 

  • Liaise with other health professionals and multi-disciplinary teams i.e. GP, Physiotherapist, etc.

  • Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives and visitors

  • Participate in training as required by law and by the Company's standards

  • Take part in the induction process and the training of staff in accordance with the Company Training Policy & Procedure including carrying out supervision and appraisals of clinical ands care staff

  • Order and record drugs for the residents and the service as required

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with an active NMC PIN

  • Willing to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service Check if successful

  • Happy to provide satisfactory references if successful  

  • Be up to date with all mandatory training as outlined by the NMC or be willing to undertake refreshers in mandatory areas

  • Be within a commutable distance to Bradford.
