Medicall Recruitment are currently recruiting a Registered Nurse (RMN) for a fantastic Nursing service in the Leicester area. Our client is well known in Leicester for providing a high standard of Nursing and Residential Care for younger adults within their service. 

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RMN) to join this service on a Full Time, Permanent basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide first rate nursing care to a group of residents to whom you have undertaken the role of named nurse

  • Act as resource person for named key workers

  • Supervise and actively assist in all aspects of resident’s care

  • Establish individual care for each resident by the thorough assessment of needs and planning of care with the participation of the key worker, resident and relative or their representative

  • Maintain accurate care plans and records of resident care

  • Liaise with other health professionals and multi-disciplinary teams i.e. GP, Physiotherapist, etc.

  • Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives and visitors

  • To administer medicines and adhere to the regulations regarding the administration control and storage of medicines

  • Participate in training as required by law and by the Company's standards

  • Take part in the induction process and the training of staff in accordance with the Company Training Policy & Procedure including carrying out supervision and appraisals of Care Staff

  • To comply with the regulations in respect of Health & Safety at Work, environmental health and fire procedures and abide by the Company's Health & Safety policy

  • Order drugs for the residents and the service as required

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Registered Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN

  • Willing to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service Check if successful

  • Happy to provide satisfactory references if successful  

  • Be up to date with all mandatory training as outlined by the NMC or be willing to undertake refreshers in mandatory areas

  • Be within a commutable distance to Leicester.
